About Micah Mattix

Micah Mattix is an Assistant Professor in Literature at Houston Baptist University and the Books Editor of The City. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and taught at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Yale before joining the faculty at HBU.

He has written for The Weekly Standard, The Wall Street Journal, Books & Culture, The New Oxford Review, Public Discourse, The American Spectator, Pleiades, Comment Magazine, and First Things, among others. He and his wife have four children.
